FT7 Series

The world’s toughest wind sensors.

FT Technologies ultrasonic wind sensor FT742-DM

The FT7 Series of ultrasonic wind sensors deliver highly accurate and consistent wind speed and direction data from compact sensors. With no moving parts, built-in heaters, and resistance to a wide range of environmental factors, the FT7 series sensors are maintenance-free and will last for years, even in the harshest of climates. Our own Acu-Res® Technology makes them unique in the market.

Quality Engineering

The FT7 Series of ultrasonic anemometers is the result of FT Technologies’ 20 years of experience designing wind sensors. In that time, FT sensors have been installed all over the world in a range of applications from wind turbines to meteorology to marine navigation.

The FT7 Series wind sensors come in a range of physical mounting options and are available with either a digital or analogue interface.

All FT7 Series wind sensors are 100% wind tunnel checked and calibrated before despatch. Users typically experience data availability of more than 99.9% as the ultrasonic anemometer keeps on working in many adverse environments where traditional sensors fail.

FT ultrasonic wind sensors were tested at Mount Washington

Case Studies

FT sensors are used all over the world, from Alaska to Zaragoza, from the north pole to the south pole. The leading supplier to the wind turbine industry, FT sensors are also used on the top of some of the world’s tallest buildings, on portable weather stations used to chase hurricanes, on armoured vehicles, on drones and in marine navigation.
